Louisville

With only 20,000 residents over 8.6 square miles, Louisville (the “s” is pronounced by locals) is considered a small city but offers all the amenities you need for a great quality of life. Located between Lafayette and Boulder, Louisville offers a quick commute into Boulder with more affordable real estate options. From May through October, the Saturday Farmer’s Market delivers an array of fresh produce direct from local farmers. There’s a great library downtown, and Front Street hosts live music during the summer and ice skating in the colder months. Schools: Louisville, Fireside & Coal Creek Elementary, Louisville Middle, Monarch & Centaurus High.

Over the last 20 years Louisville has developed into two separate parts, Old Historic Downtown and New Town. Popular Louisville neighborhoods include: Old Town/Historic Louisville, Centennial Heights, Cherrywood and Coal Creek Ranch. In the historic district you will find a mixture of old mining cottages and newly-built homes that give the area its unique vibe. Although these properties sit on smaller lots, the property values are usually higher because of the desirable, walkable location. New Town Louisville definitely has more of a suburban feel and homes here are dispersed between parks and walking trails.

Centennial Heights/Cherrywood: Located east of McCaslin and south of South Boulder Road, the homes for sale here are typically smaller single-family homes and townhomes. Because the area has seen a lot of restoration and remodeling, each home is quite unique.

Coal Creek Ranch: Located east of McCaslin, south of Cherry Street and north of Dillon Road, this upscale neighborhood borders Coal Creek Golf Course.

All of these neighborhoods are close to the shopping centers conveniently located along McCaslin, and provide easy access to both Old Town Louisville and Hwy 36.
