Gunbarrel
Named after a historic stagecoach route, Gunbarrel is located between Boulder and the Niwot/Longmont area and offers both multi- and single- family homes in a more affordable price range while still having a Boulder address. Gunbarrel is surrounded by open space, trails and water, including Twin Lakes, Sawhill Ponds and Boulder Reservoir. Paved bike trails lead right to downtown and also to Niwot. Gunbarrel also includes Boulder Country Club. Removed from the hubbub of central Boulder, this northeast neighborhood is teeming with things to see and do. Boulder College of Massage Therapy and Large corporations like IBM, Spectra Logic Corp. and GE Analytical Instruments are located in Gunbarrel. The Celestial Seasonings tea factory offers tours, and Avery and Asher brewing companies are an easy bike ride from the surrounding neighborhoods. There is a large shopping center, anchored by a King Soopers grocery. Only a few minutes beyond Gunbarrel, the charming town of Niwot has a quaint, historic downtown area and offers a small town feel with the perfect mix of luxury estates and small neighborhoods.
