Newlands
This quiet, family-oriented neighborhood with wide streets and old trees contains some of the most exclusive addresses in Boulder, with homes ranging from historic to modern/contemporary new builds. This neighborhood was originally developed in the 1870’s by the Newland family. Many lots in the Newlands neighborhood still bear the apple trees from the original orchard. The Newlands borders Mapleton Hill and also sits at the base of Mount Sanitas, making hikes close and easily accessible from your doorstep. Additionally, the Red Rocks network of trails connects up with this neighborhood, offering even more miles of hiking possibilities. Close to North Boulder Park, Mt. Sanitas and other mountain trails, the area also contains North Boulder Rec Center. There are lots of great shopping & dining options, as well: Ideal (Whole Foods) Market, Santo, Breadworks, Beleza Coffee Bar, Sweet Cow, Moe’ s, KT’s BBQ, Audrey Jane’s Pizza Kitchen, Boulder Wine Merchant, and the Hungry Toad pub. Fun boutique stores, including Jacque Michelle, even Orange Poppy spa. When there is enough snow, North Boulder Park is groomed for Nordic skiing by the Boulder Nordic Club.
